Barst is a visual investigation of the international revolutionary, underground and counter-cultural press scene in the 20th century, an historical journey through ideological currents and publishing organs of different types, analysing the typographic aspect with particular attention.
The aim is not only to preserve and remember, but also to of letting readers leaf through living pages, in which innovative layouts convey radical content. A creative, multi-coloured chronicle of the time of the alternative, activist and affirmative press.
Bachelor’s thesis at the Academy of Fine Arts in Perugia.
